State confirms referendum money is coming!

Whew! The state announced late today that Ridgewood's grant money IS coming through, as promised. There is no "hold" and our referendum projects can proceed. Click here to read the full article in the Bergen Record.

I like how the state guy quoted in the article tries to make it sound like we misunderstood. Um, no. The state did not sign the grant agreements, and said they weren't signing anything till Christie said it was OK. We didn't "misunderstand" that.

According to another source, the District's press release this morning got their attention and they had "forgotten" to tell us the grant funds were a "go."

Whatever. Good news for a Friday evening!

Thats great!

Where are the minutes for the executive sessions posted once they are approved? I can't find them in the regular meeting minutes pdf files.

Hello. The minutes from Executive Sessions are not posted online. Here is what our policy says:

"Minutes of executive meetings shall be filed in the Secretary's office in a place separate from the
minute book until the time, if any, when the proceedings may be made public."

I believe the type of topic (litigation, personnel, etc.) covered in any particular executive session is what determines when those minutes MAY be made public. I do not know specifically what the requirements are. There is not a requirement that any minutes be posted on the website...only that they be accessible by the public. We currently do post minutes of public meetings fairly quickly because we want to make it easier for members of the community to access them.

If there is a particular Executive Session for which you would like to see minutes, your best bet would be to contact Angelo DeSimone, Board Secretary, and he can tell you if they are available for the public yet.
